Job Description
We are seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer with over 4 years of design experience using Revit and AutoCAD for building plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have substantial design experience within the building and construction industry and will work closely with project engineers, project managers, and other staff. This role involves not only design work but also collaborating with distributors to order necessary materials for various projects. ResponsibilitiesDesign plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD.Collaborate with project engineers, project managers, and other staff on design projects.Work with distributors to order materials and determine appropriate materials for specific projects.Engage in drafting and design tasks related to plumbing and fire protection.Participate in the development and advancement of engineering practices within the firm.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.Experience with Revit is highly desirable.3-7 years of experience in building plumbing engineering systems design.Knowledge of national, state, and local building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with water/wastewater plumbing design is a plus.Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or Engineer in Training (EIT) status, or pending Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is recommended but not required.Work Environment
The candidate will work out of our newly renovated office in Owings Mills, MD, which houses approximately 65 staff members. The office environment is highly collaborative with a flat organizational structure. Working hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am to 4:45 pm, with a 6-hour work-from-home day on Friday.
