What you’ll be doing:
Lead the plumbing design for a wide range of exciting projects, ensuring functionality and efficiency. Prepare comprehensive reports and studies to support impactful design decisions. Select, specify, and estimate costs for plumbing system equipment, optimizing for project needs and budget. Perform detailed calculations to ensure system accuracy and compliance. Conduct periodic site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. Lead and inspire project teams, sharing your expertise to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment. Embrace the adventure with travel as necessary to support project requirements and conduct on-site evaluations.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university 6+ years of relevant experience PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states Strong organizational and communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Experience leading plumbing design of complex projects Experience performing plumbing calculations for system layout and sizing Experience using Revit to create plumbing drawings Experience working with military projects, fire protection design, and plumbing codes
