FULLY REMOTE PLUMBING/FP ENGINEER IN NYC! (must live in tri-state) Join our team as a Plumbing Engineer where you will be responsible for reviewing fire protection, fire alarm, and plumbing design documents for tenant projects. Your role will also involve conducting design audits and processing projects to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and technical standards. Key responsibilities include downloading and previewing construction documents, hydraulic calculations, specifications, and reports. You will coordinate review comments from technical disciplines and prepare memoranda for transmitting comments to line departments. Part of your role involves attending meetings with tenant Architect/Engineers to discuss review comments and resolve issues. You will also be responsible for the layout of plumbing and fire protection systems as well as equipment layout and sizing. MUST HAVES: PLEASE apply only if you have meet at LEAST 4 qualifications below. + Bachelor’s degree in engineering + Minimum of 3/5 years of diverse experience in fire protection and plumbing systems design + Experience designing Plumbing & Fire Protection systems on various project type + Knowledge of applicable construction codes and reference standards in New York City, New York State, and State of New Jersey + Proper understanding of engineering disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities + E.I.T or F.E + Knowledge of International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code and Fire Code + Experience in ASME B31.1 Power Piping/ ASME B3.9 Building Services Piping Designs + Experience in NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems Job Description-Under the supervision of the Design Standards Unit Manager and the Assistant Manager + the selected candidate (Plumbing/fire protection engineer) will be responsible for review fire protection, fire alarm, and plumbing design documents for tenant projects (TAA) and design audit, and project processing for transportation facilities (PA) facilities to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and transportation technical standards. + Specific responsibilities include: downloading the electronic TAA submissions, previewing construction documents, hydraulic calculations, specifications, and reports for completeness with codes and standards + Coordinating the review comments from others technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments; This is a Permanent Role (fully remote) Please email me at aheth@actalentservices.com if you are interested in being considered for this position or things like this !
