**Job Title: Plumbing Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a Plumbing Technician with 6+ months of experience or familiarity in plumbing, electrical, or construction skilled labor/mechanical aptitude. You will assist licensed journeyman technicians with new installation piping and heating and cooling units in new construction residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings. Responsibilities include delivering, installing, and troubleshooting pipes and plumbing equipment, power vacuuming of pipes, cleaning up job sites, and lifting/moving units. Candidates must be comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 100+ lbs as needed with team members. Knowledge of the following tools is a plus: Impact Drill, Sawzaw, Wire Strippers, lighted level, Phillips flat screwdriver, 8 oz hammer, drywall saw, ¼ Malco bit, 4’’ bit adapter for impact drill, headlamp or flashlight, and channel locks. **Hard Skills** + Plumbing + Construction installation + Skilled trades + Blueprint reading + Mechanical aptitude + Impact driver and basic hand tools usage + Valid driver's license **Job Type** This is a permanent position. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Ankeny, Iowa. **Work Environment** Team-oriented environment. Very busy, and once trained, will require on-call shifts every 6 weeks, for which you will be compensated. Work schedule is M-F 7-5ish with an expectation of 60+ hours/week due to new projects. You will be paired with a journeyman and either meet on the job site to start the day or at the shop address. Dress code includes jeans, work boots, and a work-appropriate tee shirt.
