PM V - Commitment Manager - Framingham

Duties:

The Commitment Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the Criminal Records Department. This position is responsible for supervising the Criminal Records and Criminal History Records Information (CHRI) staff and all their assigned functions as well as being the facility, release coordinator. The Commitment Manager is responsible for the implementation and oversite of all approved record’s processes as well as the oversite of processing CORI and Evaluative requests and providing commitment documents to Central Date Computation Unit in a timely manner. This manager is responsible for the training, supervision and assigning of all duties to the Records/CHRI staff. This manager also serves as the liaison with other staff to the criminal justice, social service agencies and courts in obtaining and verifying criminal records and legal information. Responsible for all policy/procedural review relative to all records policies. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Thorough knowledge of supervisory/management techniques. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of Criminal Offender Record Information and Evaluative Information. Thorough knowledge of the Department of Correction’s policies and procedures.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have at least (A) five (5) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, professional internship, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

Substitutions:

I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.

III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required experience.

IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience.
