Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced PMC QA/QC Manager to oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all construction processes and deliverables comply with international standards, project specifications, and quality benchmarks. This role requires strong expertise in QA/QC management within the Oil & Gas sector and pipeline construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the project-specific QA/QC management plan.Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, API) and project requirements across all phases of pipeline construction.Review and approve QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Material Inspection Reports (MIRs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to QA/QC standards.Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of construction activities, materials, and equipment.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to address and resolve quality issues.Lead root cause analysis for quality-related non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.Maintain detailed records of QA/QC activities and prepare periodic quality performance reports.Ensure welding, NDT, and coating inspections meet project specifications and international codes.Train and mentor project staff and contractors on QA/QC best practices.Interface with the client, contractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve quality-related matters.

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Pipeline Engineering (or equivalent).Certifications:ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.Additional certifications in welding inspection (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP) and NDT (e.g., ASNT Level II/III) are preferred.Experience:Minimum 10-15 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 5 years in Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects.Proven track record of managing QA/QC activities in a PMC environment.Skills:Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).Proficient in preparing and reviewing QA/QC documentation.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality standards are upheld.
