**Job Purpose** **:**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of PMO to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure the successful delivery of projects in our portfolio at CBTS. This role demands a strategic thinker who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for establishing and refining the structure around project intake, assessment, scoping, and planning, while actively engaging with teams to foster a results-oriented culture.
**Essential Functions:**
+ **Leadership & Strategy:**
+ Lead and inspire the PMO team, cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability.
+ Develop and implement comprehensive PMO strategies and frameworks that enhance project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
+ **Project Intake & Assessment:**
+ Establish standardized processes for project intake and assessment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and resource availability.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects based on business impact and urgency.
+ **Scope & Planning:**
+ Oversee project scoping and planning, ensuring clarity of objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
+ Actively support project managers in developing robust project plans and navigating challenges.
+ **Performance Monitoring:**
+ Define and implement KPIs and metrics to monitor project performance, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget.
+ Create regular reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership.
+ **Stakeholder Engagement:**
+ Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and executive leadership, facilitating effective communication and addressing concerns promptly.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support.
+ **Team Development:**
+ Mentor and develop project managers and team members, promoting professional growth and adherence to PMO best practices.
+ Conduct training sessions to enhance project management skills across the organization.
+ **Continuous Improvement:**
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery, resource utilization, and overall team performance.
+ Foster a culture of innovation, leveraging emerging technologies to streamline workflows and reduce administrative burdens.
**Education:**
+ Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
**Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:**
+ PMP certification required; additional certifications (e.g., PgMP, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
**Experience:**
+ Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
**Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Proven experience managing IT consulting and professional services projects and portfolios.
+ Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
+ Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
+ Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
**Supervisory Responsibility** **:**
This position has one or more employee direct reports.
