The POC team is a group of high caliber networking experts who are responsible for designing and demonstrating cutting-edge Arista Networks solutions. This is a customer-facing test role that drives new customer wins and introductions of new technologies to our worldwide customers.
What You’ll Do
Design ingenious network topologies and creative tests to prove advantages of Arista products, technologies and solutions to our largest customersBuild and configure complex test topologies and perform rigorous POC testsDemonstrate Arista's solutions to customers and provide test reportsCollaborate with industry-leading Systems Engineers to design network solutions for Arista's largest customersInnovate and develop testing and productivity improvement toolsImprove Arista product offerings and quality through feature enhancement proposals, bug reports, and engineering reviewsAuthor white papers and design guides on Arista products and technologies and POC methodologiesQualificationsBS CS/CE/EE. MS degree preferred5+ years of experience in software test, system test, proof of concept tests, network consulting, systems engineering, or advanced servicesCCIE certification is a plusIn-depth knowledge and experience in deploying, testing and troubleshooting: STP, LACP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, BFD, NSF, MPLS, IGMP, PIM SM/SSM, ACL, QoS and HAExperience in network virtualization technologies such as VXLAN, OpenStack, etc.Experience in integrating firewalls, load balancers, and virtualization controllers in virtualized networksExperience in routing & switching hardware platform testsExperience with IXIA or Spirent for traffic generation and protocol emulationExperience in server virtualization and Linux toolsExperience in scripting using Python, Tcl, Perl, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to operate with a high degree of independence and manage projectsEnjoy cross-functional collaboration and shared responsibility in small team settingsEnjoy on the job learning of new technologies#LI-SP1
Additional InformationThe new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of CAD 104,000 to 147,000.
Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. Employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
