THE JOB: 

The primary responsibility of the Poker Cashier is to manage monetary transactions and exchanges with both guests and staff in the Poker cage area.  You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $18.00 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Process chip redemptions and sales for patrons, Poker runners, and Floor personnelAdapt to the fast-paced gaming environment by exercising good judgment and multitasking effectivelySecure and document all transactions involving company assets accuratelyComplete electronic transaction logs meticulously and manually when requiredReconcile the bank at the end of each shiftProvide general information and assistance to patrons as neededManage the issuance and return of poker safety deposit boxes, granting access to patronsEstablish new patron accounts in accordance with Title 31 guidelinesHandle buy-ins and re-buys for patrons in poker tournaments, and assist Poker room supervision with tracking and reporting participation totals

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

One (1) year of previous cash handling experienceOne (1) year of previous customer service experienceMust be 21 years of age or olderNevada State Gaming RegistrationHigh school diploma, GED or educational equivalentMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidaysProficiency in fundamental mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handlingAbility to balance a bank without assistance (locating errors when out of balance)Knowledgeable of 10-key adding machine and currency counterBasic knowledge of computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machineExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholdersCapable of standing and walking for a majority of the shiftAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
