Polarion Principal Solution Architect - REMOTE (USA)

Position overview:

The Polarion Principal Solution Architect will be a member of the Global Siemens Lifecycle Solutions (LCS) Customer Outcomes practice. This is a group of hardworking engineers working at the forefront of next generation platform engineering related solutions.

You will work alongside colleagues and customers to specify, implement, and deploy Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions, ensuring a successful outcome by demonstrating the strengths of our broad product portfolio. You will be supplying to the success of a team of consultants, product specialists and account managers by growing the adoption of our ALM tools globally. You may also be required on occasions to provide guide support to our distributed team of Teamcenter deployment consultants.

Expectations:

You are encouraged to have a deep understanding of the ALM software domain, specifically the Siemens ‘Polarion’ product. You are intended to be a guide expert in the implementation (services) of these products across one or more related industries/domains. The role requires a passion for helping customers achieve realized value, a vision for improving Siemen’s position in the ALM marketplace, a desire to increase our market share in the industries that we serve, and a drive for continuously improving the processes that we use to achieve successful implementations. You are encouraged to drive related initiative outcomes by collaborating with globally distributed teams, which may report to other leaders. Due to Polarion’s close association with our PLM offerings, you will have several years of experience in efficiently implementing Teamcenter. This role will report directly to the Global Practice Lead for Lifecycle Solutions (LCS) Services. This Practice sits within the Global Customer Outcomes organization and works extensively with the Zone Customer Outcomes delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility – This role is a Global Role related to the implementation of Polarion and Teamcenter based solutions. The resource will be involved in sophisticated, strategic programs that span across Zones, and will be essential in enabling internal and external capacity Align with other Siemens Xcelerator product lines to ensure a flawless integration of our ALM capabilities into broader multi-disciplinary offerings Support the adoption of our ‘Advantedge’ deployment methodology across Services globally Align with product development and product management teams to represent the needs of Customer Outcomes Promote re-usable learning programs, knowledge transfer, and enablement Provide staff enablement in support of scaling and aligning capacity Provide standard methodologies for global program pursuits and delivery Bill time in strategic projects as a domain guide Support enablement through training delivery, mentoring, support, etc.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

BSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent. 5+ years’ experience in the principles, practices and techniques of ALM and PLM domains including understanding of key issues faced by customers Proven hands-on experience of deploying Enterprise-level ALM / PLM solutions You are self-motivated and able to work independently but collaboratively and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving product and technical environment. Understand/write English technical documents (Business level) Ability to synthesize and formulate broad, high-level functional requirements into concrete solution specifications Strong customer interaction, technical communication, and presentation skills Willingness to travel around 25%. Some international travel may be required

The total cash compensation range for this position is $135,700 to $271,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
