This position is under the direct supervision of the Memorial Medical Center (MMC) Security Operations team, shift supervisor, for the assigned shift. This position is responsible for assisting the MMC Emergency Department (ED) Security Controller for the protection, safeguarding, safety, and security of assets, property, personnel, patients and all visitors, within the MMC ED and hospital in general. Perform all appropriate related and unrelated duties, as directed. This is a physical security position. Complete assigned Computer Based Learning (CBL) modules annually Performs other related work as required or requested.

Required Experience
Education:
Must have successfully completed a certified police academy, (PTI or equivalent), 400 plus hour, law enforcement academy. Completion of Memorial’s Mandt training within 3 months of hire.Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Must be able to maintain any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed police/security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.Experience:
Must maintain employment with a local municipal, city, county, or state police department, in good standing, and approved for off-duty work utilizing police department equipment (i.e. uniforms, weapon, vehicle (if issued), etc.) Proof of approved off-duty work required before hire.Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons. Springfield, IL
