POLICE OFFICER (INSTRUCTOR)
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will provide classroom studies and instruction on practical use of law enforcement equipment and techniques. You will ensure that all law enforcement personnel are in compliance with agency standards and policies governing employee proficiency in the use and maintenance of assigned firearms. You will prepare course material for NSF training objectives. You will determine the most effective ways and means of teaching course curriculum. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property; 2. Teaching course curriculum in specialized and technical instructional areas related to Navy Security Forces (NSF) training objectives; 3. Coordinating with other instructors to maintain and develop course material ensuring improvements to teaching methods are continuously made. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
