Overview & Responsibilities Republic Finance is seeking a business-minded and experienced policies and procedures specialist to join a collaborative, high-performing Legal & Compliance team. In your role as Policy & Procedure Specialist, you will be responsible for executing policy and procedure frameworks and mechanisms to support our compliance policy and procedure lifecycle management. This position is based out of our corporate headquarters office in Baton Rouge, LA and will have a hybrid work schedule. Job responsibilities are as follows: Assist the Policy & Procedure Administrator to identify all current policies and procedures impacted by changes to newly created or revised policies and procedures. Assist Policy & Procedure Administrator to establish priorities and workflows. Collaborate with the key individuals, departments, partners, and business owners of each policy and procedure to obtain all appropriate document approvals and ensure that all content published in our policy and procedure database (PolicyTech) is current, complete, and not contradictory to any departmental or Company guidelines or objectives. Partner with policy and procedure writers to develop and update policies, procedures, and other compliance documentation and review to ensure readability, clarity, and consistency across the overall policy and procedure framework. Edit policy and procedure submissions for writing mechanics, formatting, and consistency with publication’s style and Company policy; assist with determining logical placement of policies and procedures within database. Coordinate regular meetings to obtain approval to publish and assign revised and newly developed policies and procedures Company-wide. Respond to internal requests for custom database reports, queries, data extracts or ad hoc reports in a timely manner. Independently conduct research as needed to provide appropriate response. Ensure proper user permissions and alignment within policy and procedure database system and report inconsistencies to the Human Resources and Information Technology Departments. Assist with the creation and delivery of training Company-wide for new database features and updates or new user roles and permissions. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Work to demanding timelines in a fast-paced team environment. Coordinate small projects and assist with special projects, as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience. Three to five years relevant experience preferred. Database management experience required, including knowledge regarding database reporting and query tools Knowledge and experience working with PolicyTech would be a plus. Background in banking, finance, internal auditing, or project management preferred. Familiarity with financial and lending laws and regulations preferred. Skilled in technical and/or policy writing. Ability to provide writing sample upon request. Demonstrated experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro as well as Microsoft 365 programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. Ability to pass skills assessment test upon request. Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to interpret and explain data for a variety of audiences. Ability to handle shifting priorities and work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability necessary to successfully perform these responsibilities. Must pass drug screen, criminal background check, and credit check.
