Job Overview:

The In-force Policy Solutions Manager is responsible for managing the in-force policy processes for life and annuity insurance products. Working in a sales environment with a large team of salespeople, this role focuses on ensuring the efficient servicing of existing policies while identifying opportunities for revenue growth through enhanced customer engagement, upselling, and cross-selling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process management and advanced Excel skills, including PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and dashboard creation, to provide insights and improve operations.

Key Responsibilities:

In-force Policy Management:Oversee the administration of in-force life and annuity policies utilizing various data sources and systems.Continuously optimize the in-force policy service process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.Collaborate with sales, underwriting, and customer service teams to ensure seamless experiences for policyholders and advisors.Revenue Generation & Growth Opportunities:Identify opportunities for revenue growth from in-force policies through upselling, cross-selling, and coverage enhancements.Develop targeted strategies with sales and marketing teams to increase policy value for existing policyholders and advisors.Analyze policyholder data to spot trends, risks, and growth opportunities that can contribute to increased revenue and customer retention.Process Optimization:Develop and utilize data analysis using advanced Excel techniques, including PowerQuery and PowerPivot, to monitor key metrics like policy retention rates, revenue per policy, upsell win rates, and sales team performance trends.Create interactive dashboards for management, providing real-time insights into policy performance, sales development and process improvements.Customer Experience Enhancement:Ensure that policyholders receive excellent service throughout the life of their policies, including timely and accurate responses to inquiries or service requests.Work with the customer service team to resolve escalations and ensure that policy changes are handled promptly.Develop strategies to improve engagement and satisfaction for policyholders, leading to increased retention and loyalty.Reporting & Data Analysis:Use advanced Excel functions (PowerQuery, PowerPivot, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) to analyze data related to policy servicing performance, customer retention, and revenue generation.Develop dashboards to provide management with real-time visibility into performance metrics, enabling faster decision-making using Excel or PowerBI.Automate recurring reports to enhance operational efficiency and provide actionable insights for leadership.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in insurance, with a focus on life, annuity, long-term care, and disability products.Expertise in managing processes that drive revenue growth and improve customer retention for in-force policies.Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and other software tools for reporting and data visualization.In-depth knowledge of life, annuity, long-term care, and disability insurance product lifecycles.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in upselling and cross-selling strategies in life, annuity, long-term care, and disability insurance.Knowledge of process management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) and experience in process optimization.Familiarity with insurance management software and digital transformation projects within the insurance industry.

Compensation: Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
