Must be able to learn and read blueprints. Must be able to operate hand tools such as grinders and sanders. Needing a detailed orientated person. Must be able to work alone and get things done in a timely manner. On time daily and here everyday is a must as others depend on polish.

Verify correct product using job traveler to set-up and operate a variety of machinery to blueprint specifications, reading part drawing with sectional views.Achieve specified micro finishes; polish to form sharp corners, hold specified limits on I.D. using deburring tools with special cutters on a variety of production parts.Work independently; assist and train less experienced machinists to maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork, and attendance.Operate job-specific hand tools to manually grind and polish screws to specified measurements.Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor.Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts, recommend improvements for area product and processes.Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.

Team:

A team of approximately 20 polishers working during all 3 shifts.

Basic Qualifications:

1+ year of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED is preferredTechnical school w/ certificate is preferredDependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills and team playerAbility to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is metAbility to perform and interpret computer and RF functionsAbility to learn new skills at a fast paceBasic computer skills
