Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept The Department of Politics and Global Affairs is housed in the Mark. O Hatfield School of Government, part of the College of Urban and Public Affairs at Portland State University. We offer bachelor’s degrees in political science and international & global studies (optional specializations include public service, law & legal studies, international development), and a master’s degree in political science. Position Summary The Department of Politics and Global Affairs is seeking an instructor for an online asynchronous INTL 372U Post-Colonial Studies of Africa course in the winter 2025 quarter. Minimum Qualifications Graduate degree in the subject (Masters or equivalent) and 3 years of professional experience, or current Ph.D. candidate in Political Science, Public Affairs & Policy, Public Policy, International & Global Studies, African Studies or related disciplines. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in the areas listed above Experience creating and teaching asynchronous online courses Key Cultural Competencies • Creates an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences.
