The Pollardwater division of Ferguson Waterworks is a leading supplier of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products, specializing in tools, equipment and supplies for municipal water and wastewater operations throughout North America. Since 1837, Pollardwater’s team of industry experts focuses on providing superior customer service and solutions for a wide variety of industry needs.

Ferguson is currently seeking a Sales Team Manager to develop and implement sales strategies; identify potential customers; handle vendor relationships; and monitor industry trends.

Please Note: This is a Hybrid role based out of our Newport News, VA location, in accordance with Ferguson’s Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

Manages about 10 frontline Sales Support Reps to promote a consistent and positive customer experience using metrics such as call quality, tasks completed, and streamlined processes.

Serve as a day-to-day team leader leading all aspects of customer service and inside sales team

Effectively set priorities and expectations based on business need

Mentor, train, motivate, and develop team members to be successful

Monitor and grade calls and offer guidance to improve call effectiveness and share the best techniques

Set expectations and goals, by driving associate/team performance

Evaluate associate key performance indicators and identify training needs and development opportunities

Participate in the work of associates to understand and distribute workload, drive productivity, and ensure effective work/life balance

Manages the development of strong sales and management teams, implementing recruitment, training and mentoring programs that result in a capable and motivated workforce

Build and maintain a positive relationship with associates by training and providing professional expertise

Requirements

3+ years’ experience prior management / leadership experience is strongly preferred

Prior experience in Inbound Call Center leadership is a plus

Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and time management, including the ability to balance multiple tasks

Successful experience in waterworks industry sales leadership is ideal

Experience of using process and metrics/data to lead such a team

Prior experience of setting up inside sales process, metrics, and hiring team members with the ability to lead and motivate

Must possess a strong service orientation, and the desire to serve internal and external customers

Strong work ethic, and high level of integrity and professionalism

Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, and possess outstanding communication skills (oral and written)

Ability to quickly learn company systems and platforms

Must possess solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and prior CRM/Salesforce experience is a plus

Pay Range:

$4,124.70 - $9,075.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
