Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer 2 (SWE2) to sit fully onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. This candidate will be supporting the development and maintenance of AI Security & Risk Metrics Software Development Kits (SDKs). In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior technical leads and AI experts to build, test, deploy, and document cutting-edge tools focused on the security and monitoring of AI systems for the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), National Security Systems (NSS), and the Defense Industrial Base. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI security technologies while gaining hands-on experience in software development, AI integration, and cybersecurity best practices. Key Responsibilities:  Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI security tools and SDKs  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support AI system security and risk assessment initiatives  Contribute to documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and development procedures  Perform basic coding tasks, software debugging, and version control management  Participate in research efforts related to AI security, large language models (LLMs), and adversarial machine learning  Support the integration of security features such as encryption, key management, and credential management systems Compensation: $130,000 to $190,000 per year annual salary. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline  Strong foundational knowledge of programming concepts and software development practices  Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C+ Basic understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, or data analysis  Familiarity with version control systems like Git Internship or project-based experience with AI technologies, security frameworks, or machine learning models  Knowledge of AI security concepts, such as adversarial machine learning, prompt engineering, or large language models (LLMs)  Exposure to tools and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Kubernetes  Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, encryption methods, or key management practices  Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)  Certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or related fields (preferred but not required)  Programming Languages: Python, Java, Kotlin, R, JavaScript, SQL, Bash  AI/ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face  Security Concepts: Encryption/Decryption, Key Management, TLS, Adversarial Robustness Toolbox (ART)  DevOps Tools: Git, ArgoCD, HashiCorp Vault, Kubernetes null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
