Job Description Develop, test, and maintain HPC software solutions tailored to high-performance computing architectures. Utilize a strong mathematical background and/or computer hardware expertise to optimize software performance and efficiency. Work with processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and large-scale data manipulation in real-time and batch processing environments. Implement and integrate data repositories, data transport services, and monitoring systems into HPC applications. Collaborate individually or within a team environment to ensure high-quality software development. Conduct software testing to ensure adherence to design specifications and document test results. Troubleshoot and resolve software problem reports, enhancing system performance and reliability. Apply appropriate software development methodologies, including Agile and other industry best practices. Provide input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of Open Source Software (OSS), Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), or Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software in place of new development. Conduct requirements analysis and synthesis, from the system level down to individual software components. Utilize Configuration Management (CM) tools to track software changes and ensure consistency. Implement Web Services for data exchange and system interoperability.
