Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Polymer Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing new architectural paint materials within a laboratory setting, mixing chemicals and additives to create architectural paint, ensuring quality standards, and considering environmental impact. The role involves selecting appropriate resins, pigments, additives, and solvents to achieve desired properties such as adhesion, durability, color, and gloss. You will also conduct laboratory testing, including viscosity, draw downs on different substrates, stain resistance, and application testing. Technical support for key innovation projects and customer services is also a key part of the role. Ensuring lab safety and following general safety procedures is essential.

This role is based in an Applications Lab. The work involves hands-on laboratory testing and collaboration with scientists and technicians to achieve reliable results. The environment emphasizes safety and adherence to general safety procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr.
