Performs basic and advanced polysomnography, and related tasks. Assists in troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining SDC equipment. Assists with quality assurance monitoring and product evaluation. Provides patient services from ages pediatric through geriatric. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.

POSITION SUMMARY 

A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO, or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.  This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education.

Position Requirements

Must have two years' post-high school education in a scientific field. Must have basic knowledge of physical sciences, mathematics and statistics.Must be able to operate a Windows based computer program at a basic level for data collection and analysis.Must be BLS certified through the American Heart Association.Requires interpersonal and communication skills to promote positive relationships with patients and other staff.Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography. OR Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician OR completion of A-Step program.Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required.Many of our opportunities reward* your hard work with:
