The Carlisle Sleep Lab is looking for a new Polysomnographic Sleep Tech to join their growing and experienced team of Technicians. This is an AASM accredited sleep center, with 6 beds. Currently open Monday through Thursday for nightshift. Training Schedule: 40 hours per week. Normally three 12-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift. After training and passing the registry, it would then transition to three 12-hour night shifts. **Purpose:** Under the supervision of physicians and in the presence of a Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT, or RRT-SDS, or RST), the Polysomnographic Sleep Technician (Poly tech) is responsible for performing patient care duties and providing customer service to clients of the sleep center, while completing the ASTEP program and on-the-job training. **Responsibilities:** + Must enroll and complete the ASTEP program within 1 year of hire. + While under direction of senior sleep lab staff according to department policy and procedure. + Prepare patients for sleep testing. + Educate patients on sleep lab testing procedure. + Analyze and score sleep studies. + Perform therapeutic treatments and interventions. + Inventory and restock lab supplies. + Clean equipment and patient rooms. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complete monthly ISR as a training scorer. + Attend monthly staff meeting and required department/facility training. + Performs duties in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors. + HS diploma (required) and 6 months relevant experience in an allied-health field (preferred). **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Registered Polysomnographic Technologist must be obtained within 2 years of hire. + BLS required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. + Basic Life Support (BLS) + Registered Polysomnographic Technologist + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
