Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities To work under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO, or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties define for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide oversight of other staff. Qualifications Job Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography OR Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one-year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility of equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies requires of a Polysomnographic Technician Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent. A minimum of 1 year experience as a Polysomnographic Technician with documented proficiency in all required competencies. CPR Certification-American Red Cross or American Heart Association, basic CPR and AED.
