JOB SUMMARY
\nThe Sleep Lab Manager plans and directs the activities of the Sleep Center area to ensure efficient performance of quality non-invasive procedures.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nConsult with the Medical Director and Administrative Director on immediate and long-range goals and priorities. Develops, secures approvals of and implements policies and procedures.\nPrepares annual budget recommendations regarding personnel, equipment and supplies necessary to provide cost-effective, quality services. Maintains expenditures within the approved budget.\nSupervises phases of diagnostic and therapeutic testing procedures.\nInterviews, recommends the hiring and termination of, schedules, evaluates and counsels assigned personnel.\nEnsures proper operation and maintenance of equipment.\nEvaluates and prepares justification for new equipment purchases, orders routine supplies and equipment, secures approval on major purchases, and coordinates demonstrations for professional and technical staff.\nConducts Polysomnography charge surveys, examines costs and recommends procedures charges to Administrative Director.\nDevelops, plans and implements a program of continuing education for professional and technical personnel.\nPrepares monthly reports of activities, procedures, expenditures and revenues for internal use.\nActs as liaison between professional and technical staff, user facilities and requesting Physicians to coordinate services provided by the Sleep Center.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
\n\nExperienced expertise of critical care modalities and mastery of complex clinical situations.\nAbility to make operational judgments around how work gets done quality standards, productivity standards, measurable goals for employees and project teams, etc.\nAbility to use broader priorities to establish how best to use resources to meet schedules and goals.\nAbility to make or approve effective hiring and termination judgments.\nAbility to evaluation and recommend changes to policies, and establish procedures that affect the managed organization.\nBasic business knowledge, including but not limited to: annual planning and goal setting, adherence to budgets, employee compensation, compliance and risk management.\nGeneral computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation and email.\n\nBENEFITS
