Polysomnography Technologist - Sleep Medicine
**Job Description** Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center. The Kapiolani Sleep Disorders Center offers comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to people of all ages who have suspected sleep-related disorders. The Sleep Lab provides evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, implements intervention and conducts comprehensive Polysomnography monitoring to diagnose sleep disorders and assist with designing safe and appropriate treatment. As a Polysomnography Technologist, you will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders across the full continuum of care. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, or patient care and education. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and organized with excellent patient care, technical and communications skills, and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i. **Location:** Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, Honolulu, HI **Work Schedule:** Rotating - 12 Hours **Work Type:** Per Diem FTE: 0.475000 **Bargaining Unit:** Non-Bargaining Starting Hourly Rate: 41.30 **Exempt:** No **Minimum Qualifications:** Successful completion of a polysomnography program leading to an associate’s degree with an emphasis in polysomnography, or successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one (1) year duration associated with state licensed and/or a nationally accredited facility, or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician. Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. **Preferred Qualifications:** Previous experience as EEG or Respiratory Technician.
