Pool Supervisor
Overview It is the responsibility of the Pool Supervisor to assist managing operation in an efficient and professional manner to ensure quality service to guests. Help monitor operation profitability while ensuring all employees maintain the highest of guest service standards. Interact with other pool managers and other Department Heads to help outlet operations proceed smoothly. In addition, ensuring the safe and efficient use of all our swimming pool facilities and promoting a high standard of health and safety to our guests. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity) Responsibilities The Pool Supervisor assists in overseeing and monitoring approximately 50 employees. He/She may have to issue discipline, guide, and coach and develop Lifeguards, Fountain Workers, Pool Runners, Ambassadors, Servers and Bartenders on a daily basis. Oversees training, rules and regulations, provide guidance to pool employees and make recommendations regarding discipline when necessary. Provide Pool Management and Human Resources with the necessary information to keep personnel files current. Responsible for assisting with staffing schedules, shift trade forms, requests for time off, and attendance tracking for all pool employees while adhering to the policies of the Golden Nugget and ensuring adherence to the Union Contract. Maintain pool job applications and hiring steps for all pool applicants. Control labor expenses by adjusting daily work schedule based on guest volume. Executing & Training for Service of Excellence by Maintaining Standards. Check guest satisfaction throughout all pool areas and resolve customer complaints. Ensure a neat, clean and safe working environment in accordance with established health and safety standards. Present needs of the outlet to the Pool Manager and/or SVP/Assistant General Manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Have working knowledge of the Aloha POS system. Have working knowledge of Health Department requirements in Bar, Kitchen and Pool areas. Ability to manage employees, training and coaching skills with evidence of developing exceptionally motivated teams Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking and organization skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required; Aloha and SpaSoft experience preferred. Must obtain a CPR/First-Aid/Life-Saving Certification. Must obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card. Must obtain a Health card. High school diploma or GED required. 1 year supervisory experience in a high volume hospitality setting. Minimum age requirement is 21.
