The NPL now has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced individual as Officer – Community Governance and Administration.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Community Relation and Engagement Porgera, the Officer – Community Governance and Administration plays a key role in providing administrative and governance support to the Community and Social Responsibility Leadership Team including CSR HOD and the CSR Department as a whole.
In this role, you will:
• Provide administrative support to the CSR HOD and respective CSR Sectional Managers & superintendents.
• Coordinate high-level administrative support for the HOD and VIPs.
• Provision of high-level administrative support to CSR projects as required.
• Assisting in managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating deliveries to ensure availability of necessary parts and supplies
• Ensuring compliance with NPL’s health, safety, and environmental policies by maintaining organized and accessible documentation
• Performing routine office tasks such as answering calls, responding to inquiries, and arranging meetings as requested by the supervisor and or managers
• Uphold high standards of health and safety awareness, ensuring compliance with NPL’s Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all safety procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experiences:
• Minimum Grade 12 or higher with qualifications & experiences in office administration.
• Minimum five years administrative experience.
• Good organizational skills and diligence of managing information and related data.
• Computer literate in MS office suits (word, xls, ppt, Outlook),
• Experience with Oracle, SharePoint, SAAP, Inflight or related business and integrated management systems.
• Ability to communicate across all levels with a good command of verbal and written English.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Well-disciplined with good work ethics
Mobilization Requirement
This is a PNG National Local Staff position, a site-based role on a Walk in Walk out arrangement with rotation of 10 days on and 4 days off. Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage) and have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months). Must be a Local Porgeran (Cat 1A – SML, Cat 1B –LMP or Cat 2 – Other Porgera) candidate and available to start immediately. Other Enga and PNG Nationals with relevant expertise are encouraged to apply including females.
