Port Operations Excellence Manager

The Manager, Operational Excellence, will be responsible for developing, consolidating, and enforcing guidelines while ensuring compliance with the organization’s protocols. This role will drive a unified brand experience and a robust compliance culture across the destinations, promoting excellence in those areas.

Additionally, this manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to integrate brand identity and HESS – Health, Environmental, Safety and Sustainability – related initiatives, ensuring that all operational practices align with both brand values and safety standards. Overall, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future by leading initiatives that promote stewardship, improve operational effectiveness, and elevate the guest and employee experience.

Essential Functions:

Develop, implement, and enforce operational guidelines to maintain uniformity across all destinations, ensuring that employee and guest experiences reflect the corporation’s goals. Conduct regular audits and assessments of ports’ products and guest experience to ensure adherence to established brand standards. Develop, enhance, implement, maintain, and monitor a standardized and comprehensive safety management system (HESS-MS) that meets regulatory requirements and promotes a culture of excellence and safety across the organization. Provide ongoing training and support to employees on company’s policies and procedures, driving awareness and accountability to enhance workplace safety. Lead the implementation of an asset management and work order management solution across all destinations (Upkeep)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, or a similar field. 3-5 years of operations and brand management, cruise industry experience, and safety management. Microsoft (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI including email & office tools). Understanding of data analytics, with ability to make strategic recommendations. Proven experience in managing projects and multiple stakeholders within a corporate environment. Ability to partner with various leadership levels and collaborate with remote employees. Expertise in learning and development, particularly in operational and safety training. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards. Strong communication, organizational and management skills to drive the vision across different groups.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Analytical skills (Excel, Power BI, etc.), project management, strategic thinking, collaboration and teamwork, customer and safety focused.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday.  Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
