What is the opportunity?

Join RBC PH&N Investment Counsel as a Portfolio Construction Anlayst. In this role, you will be will be responsible for supporting the day to day management of client portfolios through trade communication, report generation and ongoing communication with Investment Counsellor’s and their teams on a range of portfolio management and administrative topics. What will you do?

Manage the timely and accurate preparation and communication of manager model trades to all Investment Counsellor teams.

Liaise with RBC GAM Portfolio Modelling and RBC GAM Trading as needed in regard to model trades.

Coordinate the resolution and reporting of trade errors through close collaboration with Investment Counsellor teams, Operations, GAM Portfolio Modelling and PH&N Management.

Generate and distribute reporting on key business metrics, including detailed assets under management data.

Act as the subject matter expert for both front office and internal partners on a variety of portfolio management related topics including, but not limited to, performance measurement, corporate actions, security classification as well as on the use of PH&N portfolio management systems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

Undergraduate degree

Completion of industry investment courses (CIM, CSC) required at a minimum, having started the CFA considered a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and partner effectively with front office professionals on key risk issues.

Understanding of capital markets in particular as it relates to trading, settlement and corporate actions.

High level of skill in the use of MS applications Excel and Access

Exceptional attention to detail

Nice to Have

Experience in a private client discretionary role providing a high level understanding of portfolio construction as it relates to Ultra High Net Worth/High Net Worth  private clients

Familiarity with RBC Wealth Management  systems such as Broadridge BPS, ServiceLink, ClientSource, ClientLink, FMC and MACS
