What you will be doing 
The Portfolio Information Security Officer (PISO) is a highly technical consultant that reports to a PISO Director and serves as the trusted advisor to portfolio executives and to the CISO. They are responsible for establishing and driving a portfolio-specific information security practice aligned with the portfolio's risks and the overall Albertsons Information Security Program. 

This consultant will advise on security strategy, risk management, and information security requirements for the Cloud Operations Group portfolio. They will support specific product groups in the infrastructure portfolio such as Network, Cloud Operations, Data Platform, Field Services, and Enterprise Architecture functions. This security professional will be responsible for coordinating with business and technology partners to secure the assets, information, and processes associated with these critical foundational functions. 
 

The position will be based in Plano, Texas, Pleasanton, California, Phoenix, Arizona or Boise, Idaho or remote in an Albertsons market area. 
 

Main responsibilities 

Ensure that all portfolio project teams receive, understand, and know how to execute on their information security and compliance requirements, and be the liaison that connects them to all relevant services and stakeholders  Drive the remediation of portfolio-specific findings and vulnerabilities leveraging data from numerous sources  Be your portfolio’s “Voice of the Customer” to drive improvements in the Information Security Program’s delivery  Meet regularly with technology and business leaders to align portfolio projects, priorities, and needs  
with the Information Security Program’s priorities and capabilities to continually improve the overall ACI information security posture  Evangelize security awareness across the portfolio to drive the reduction of risk and the adoption of security services  Be the seasoned security expert and subject matter expert that the rest of the Information Security Program can come to for portfolio-specific insights 

 

What we are searching for 

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience: 

Retail experience preferred but not required.  Strong cloud security fundamentals, particularly in Azure and GCP, and experience with multi-cloud deployments.  Experience at organizations that have numerous device types deployed across hundreds or thousands of sites.  Expertise in networking, infrastructure, cloud deployment, and CI/CD pipelines, as well as foundational security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint agents.  6+ years of experience in an information security role.  Information security professional certification desired (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.).  A highly independent self-starter who can build strong relationships, identify and mitigate risk, and incorporate themselves into the processes and practices of their portfolio with minimal supervision.  Ability to contextualize information security work in a business context and align security efforts to strategic business objectives.  Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, defense-in-depth practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, etc.) pertaining to information security, privacy, and/or data security.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including business executives, technology leaders, engineers, and enterprise suppliers.  Fluency in Generative AI security principles preferred but not required. 

 

The salary range is $157,900 to $ $205,300 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
