In our quest to revolutionize the world’s infrastructure, we’re seeking a dynamic Portfolio Unit Quality Manager for our Automation Business within the Building Products team

Location:  Zug, Switzerland HQ

The Role

The Portfolio Unit Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards across the entire product life cycle, from development through to retirement, covering both hardware and software products. This role involves close collaboration with product teams, factories and the Supplier Quality team to maintain robust quality processes

Key Responsibilities

Foster and facilitate Process Application/ Improvement during product life cycle Lead the AUT Quality team in handling quality issues, including product recalls, task forces, ensuring timely and effective resolution leveraging 8D methodologies in strong collaboration with product management and development team Define, implement,and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive quality objectives. Act quickly if deviations arise Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality Work with product management and development teams to ensure quality standards are followed in PLM process and right product quality is delivered Maintain a strong focus on Built-In Quality during the development phase, ensuring that products meet rigorous standards from the outset When it comes to quality, you are the interface for important stakeholders as the portfolio unit management, finance, research and development, global supply chain, product life cycle management, manufacturing sites Conduct regular audits to evaluate product maturity, ensuring alignment with quality standards and readiness for the next life cycle stage. Support external audits preparation and execution Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, guiding them in executing quality related tasks throughout the product life cycle. Your Profile

Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred or relevant business or technical experience 5 to 10 years of similar experience ideally gained in a Global Company / similar industry Be a proactive leader with a strong background in Quality Management Building management experience, or larger building automation knowledge, including cloud are a big plus to have Experience within a Building Automation, IoT and connected devices preferred Product development knowledge is a clear advantage Prior experience in team management is a plus Motivated, entrepreneurship, ownership, detail oriented, strategic thinker, continuous improvement mindset Bring enthusiasm for quality and innovation, eager to explore new ideas and challenge limits Team player, being constructive, good at negotiating, and seeking agreements Structured and organized Fluency in English
