**Resumesmust be submitted in English to be considered** Bloomberg News is looking for a talented, versatile and passionate journalist to join our local-language Portuguese team based in Brazil. Our team develops market sources to keep our audience ahead of the latest developments for the Brazilian real, swap rates, stocks and more. Editors on the team are reporters as well, responsible for generating scoops and exclusive interviews while gathering market insights on topics such as daily asset moves and central bank decisions. You will also curate and translate long format stories produced by our global newsroom in English into Portuguese, as part of our strategy to deliver news in local language to our terminal, web and media clients across Brazil. Our digital and social media products are expanding, including a podcast and a newsletter. While the role will primarily focus on short-form stories in Portuguese, you will also be expected to work with counterparts across the newsroom, producing content in English. **We'lltrust you to:** + Stay on top of what is driving local assets + Develop relationships and land interviews with marketdecision-makers + Generate story ideas by tapping into your news judgement andnetwork + Understand the demands of Bloomberg's Portuguese-language readersand the optimal way to present information + Be constructive, flexible, and collaborative **You'llneed to have:** + Fluency in Portuguese and English + Minimum five years of experiencecovering financial and business news + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience + Strong financial markets knowledge + Strong writing skills + Experience working in a real-time news environment + Ability to work steadily and calmly under pressure + Collaborative team spirit and the drive to innovate and experiment Apply if you think we're a good match.
