Bloomberg News is looking for a talented, versatile and passionate journalist to join our local-language Portuguese team based in Brazil.

Our team develops market sources to keep our audience ahead of the latest developments for the Brazilian real, swap rates, stocks and more. Editors on the team are reporters as well, responsible for generating scoops and exclusive interviews while gathering market insights on topics such as daily asset moves and central bank decisions.

You will also curate and translate long format stories produced by our global newsroom in English into Portuguese, as part of our strategy to deliver news in local language to our terminal, web and media clients across Brazil. Our digital and social media products are expanding, including a podcast and a newsletter.

While the role will primarily focus on short-form stories in Portuguese, you will also be expected to work with counterparts across the newsroom, producing content in English.

You'll need to have:

Fluency in Portuguese and EnglishMinimum five years of experience covering financial and business newsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceStrong financial markets knowledgeStrong writing skillsExperience working in a real-time news environmentAbility to work steadily and calmly under pressureCollaborative team spirit and the drive to innovate and experiment
