Position Control Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis - Dashboard
Role Mission:
As a Position Control Analyst at IDEA Public Schools, you will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining our dashboard systems. Your primary focus will be on improving data accuracy, efficiency, and usability, ensuring that our organization has access to reliable information for informed decision-making. This role combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of educational processes and a passion for continuous improvement.
Location:
This is a full-time remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations:
• Up to 30% of the time during the busiest parts of the year
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
Dashboard Analysis
Process Optimization
Implement best practices for data visualization and reporting.
Data Integrity
Prepare compensation cost scenariosAssist with the position control rollover process from year to yearCreate and maintain the Financial Planning Master Rosters for the current year and next yearCreate and maintain documentation related to data sources and processes.
Dashboard Development
Training and Support
Assist in troubleshooting dashboard-related issues and resolving them promptly.
Continuous Improvement
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and manage the position control ZenDesk analyticsCreate reports on all position control data requestsServer as a backup to the Jobvite process

Science: Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Proven experience in data analysis, dashboard development, or process improvement.Proficiency in data visualization tools as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.Preferred experience:
Master's degree preferred.Experience with SQL, Python, or other data manipulation languages is a plus

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $63,400 and $73,300, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
