Post-Award Specialist
Job Title: Post-Award Specialist (Must be local to DE, or FL) Job Description The Post-Award Specialist provides post-award services and oversight to help research investigators administer the awards after they are received. The Post-Award Specialist acts as a liaison between the Principal Investigator (PI), Sponsored Projects Administration, and Sponsored Projects Donation Accounting. Responsibilities + Provide services in various aspects of proposal preparation phase including budget development, gathering documentation for sub awards and subcontracts, coordination of approval, and assisting in regulatory requirements. + Oversight and management of PI research portfolios: reviewing expenditures, reconciling award financials, resolving financial discrepancies, reviewing and submitting cost transfers, and providing proactive financial information. + Responsible for overseeing a portfolio of 80-100 projects. + Serve as the first line resource for PI for award management and post-award services. + Maintain updated financial projections according to activity dates. Essential Skills + 1-4 years of experience as a Post-Award Specialist with experience in grant research and grant administration. + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. + Experience working with industry, federal, and non-federal grants. + Finance/Accounting background . + Advanced knowledge of grant research and grant administration. + Advanced knowledge of grant and other external funding sources. + Knowledge of post-award finance and reporting. + Knowledge in building and editing complex grant documents including reporting requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Clinical trial experience highly preferred. + Experience with government regulations, proposal guidelines, and external funding. Work Environment This is a remote position with as needed travel to one of the client's sites (Wilmington, DE, Orlando, FL, Jacksonville, FL). Normal business hours apply. The role will report to the Post-Award Manager and the Associate Director of Research Finance.
