Post Closing Remediation Specialist II

Primary Function

The Post Closing Remediation Specialist II will be responsible for reviewing and researching loan files in the system of record and completing remediation as required. Other duties may include assistance with training and partnering with team members and other departments.  They are responsible for the principal duties listed below.

Principal Duties

Reviews loan packages and Closing Disclosures for required documentation.Manage various pipelines of loans requiring post-closing review and PCCD remediation. This includes review of TRID and other Compliance requirements.Ability to partner with offshore resources to maximize efficiencies.Ensures loan package meets compliance guidelines and fixing discrepancies, as necessary.May assist with response to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Compliance and 3rd party audits and exams.Work with internal clients to identify process enhancements and changes.Works to obtain signature on missing or additional documents from lender, borrower, closing agent.Remedy post-closing issues or missing items through contact with closing agents and LOB.Responsible for properly calculating overcharges and processing refunds via Principal Reduction or Check.Some understanding of California Per Diem guidelines.Understand and comply with regulatory requirement for funding, recording and policies.Perform QC oversight on offshore functions as required per SOW. Perform QC across onshore reconciliation processes as needed.Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.*Check printing and Mail Courier label printing.

Education and Experience Requirements  

High school diploma or equivalent.2-4 years of experience in any area of mortgage operations including:  processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing or servicing.  Closing/funding experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.Experience using Excel and compiling reporting a plus.Critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems; detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and follow through.Knowledge of MDIA, RESPA(TRID) and REG Z disclosure requirements.Strong proof-reading skills.Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast paced, high producing environment.
