Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Post Doc Associate to work in the Health Informatics Department.
The Post Doc Associate will conduct and coordinate population research that examines health-related behaviors, beliefs, and policies aimed at mitigating cancer risk. Working under the direct supervision and mentorship of the Principal Investigator, this individual will be deeply involved in NIH-funded projects related to cancer prevention, digital mHealth and eHealth interventions, and addressing health disparities.
This position provides valuable opportunities for professional development, including mentored training in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant writing. The Post Doc Associate will also assist in preparing, cleaning, and analyzing data, as well as preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations based on their research findings. This position not only offers a chance to contribute to impactful research but also provides a platform for professional growth through opportunities to lead author papers and conduct grant-funded research.
Additionally, the Post Doc Associate will give oral presentations on research findings and work closely with the principal investigator and study team on various research initiatives. This position offers the chance to engage in impactful research while fostering significant professional growth.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Assist with protocol initiation and development, alongside PI and study team. Human subjects’ recruitment, management, monitoring. Assist the principal investigator and study staff on ongoing NIH-funded research projects. Assist with data collection, data clean, data analysis, and data interpretation. Assist with presentation and manuscripts preparation. Prepare grant proposals based on conducted research and findings. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
