The successful candidate will contribute to innovative research on the development, characterization, and optimization of SOFC materials, electrodes, and systems for improved performance and durability. **Responsibilities** * Conduct experimental research on SOFC / SOEC materials and cell fabrication. * Perform electrochemical testing and characterization of SOFC / SOEC components. * Develop and optimize novel materials and electrodes for enhanced SOFC / SOEC performance. * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and industry partners. * Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences. **Minimum Qualifications** Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related field. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. **Preferences** * Strong background in solid oxide fuel cells, materials synthesis, and characterization. * Experience with electrochemical testing techniques (e.g., impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry). * Excellent communication skills and a track record of scholarly publications. **Type** Benefited Staff **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
