The department of Medicine with the Peggy and Harold Katz Family Drug Discovery Center has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Postdoctoral Associate to work onsite on the UHealth campus. He/she will work under the direction of a principal investigator and conducts/assists with a variety of research activities that are complex and wide in scope. CORE FUNCTIONS + Performs statistical analyses, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure, + setting up data for analysis, judging validity and reliability of data, designing and writing + programs to perform analyses and producing written reports on the result of the analyses. + Assists faculty researchers and other collaborators in the planning and design of research + experiments. + Establishes priorities and recommends schedules, timetables and costs. + Presents project results to internal and external parties. + Operates specialized scientific equipment. + Uses available technology to facilitate the success of projects. + Liaises with other departments, outside collaborators and others to ensure success of + experiments. + Writes technical publications and reports. + Trains staff, graduate assistants and/or student employees CORE REQUIREMENTS + MD or Ph.D. in relevant field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the subject disciplines. + Organizational and project management skills. + Written and oral communication skills. + Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with all levels of staff.
