The Izgu research lab in the Department of CCB at Rutgers is seeking applications for an NIH-funded postdoc position to work at the interface of chemistry and biology. The specific projects are part of an exciting and award-winning research program focusing on the design and biological applications of small molecules and functional macromolecules (nucleic acids and proteins) to investigate cellular metabolites and aberrant metabolic pathways. This interdisciplinary research program in the Izgu Lab is recognized by the NIH / NIBIB to be high impact. Consideration for the postdoc position will be given to candidates with experience in nucleic acid chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, and/or CRISPR gene editing.
