Recruitment/Posting Title Post Doctoral Associate Department Engn-Materials Science & Engn Salary Annual Salary Posting Summary The Riman Research Group at Rutgers University is seeking postdoctoral candidates to join a multidisciplinary team focused on sustainable materials manufacturing technology. Candidates will work with startups and large corporations developing hydrothermal-synthesis and -low-temperature-densification manufacturing processes for commercial manufacturing of building and infrastructure materials, advanced composite materials (ACMs), and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). Several but not all positions are available immediately.
· What are the expected outcomes o Solve research and development problems related to the separation of rare earth elements and the associated thermodynamicso Work on research enabling the synthesis and processing of minerals, waste materials and polymers for making advanced composite materialso Work on research related to carbon capture, storage and supply· How are the key duties performed o Plan hypothesis-driven experimentso Perform experiments related to synthesis and processingo Oversee graduate studentso Build new instrumentationo Write journal articles and patent applications
