Recruitment/Posting Title Post-doctoral Associate in Vaccinium Chemistry Department SEBS-Plant Biology Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary A postdoctoral associate position is available to study chemical determinants for health benefits in blueberry and cranberry. This postdoctoral associate position will be housed in the Department of Plant Biology at Rutgers University, New Jersey in Vaccinium breeding program of Dr. Gina Sideli. This position will also work with Rutgers and USDA-ARS scientists at the Philip E. Marucci Center for Blueberry and Cranberry Research and contribute to the overall mission of the center.
Overview: This postdoctoral associate position is available immediately to work on multiple research projects including but not limited to: 1) understanding organic acid, sugar, metabolite content of breeding populations 2) method development and implementation using HPLC, GC/LC-MS, NIR spectrophotometry; 3) statistical model building to correlate datasets. Applicant should have a PhD in food science, analytical chemistry or biochemistry, preferably with experience in small fruits or perennial crops.
