Required License/Registration/Certification Ph.D. Physical Requirements Sitting for long periods of time, lifting, pulling, or pushing objects up to 25lbs. Shift Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Job Summary The Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Kentucky is inviting applications for a post-doctoral position in the area of extractive metallurgy. The successful applicant will assist with research projects in critical materials recovery, mineral processing, coal beneficiation and secondary material recycling. A particular emphasis will involve the design, development and testing of solvent extraction circuits and other purification technologies for a variety of critical elements. Responsibilities will include proposal development, experimental program oversight, data analysis, report development and peer-reviewed article production. The training and education of graduate and undergraduate students will be required.
