JOB OBJECTIVE: The primary goal is to design and develop advanced genome editing tools to integrate Promega’s cutting-edge reporter technologies into mammalian cells. The successful candidate will leverage AI to enhance research efficiency and accelerate discovery. The candidate will excel in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment that values creativity, innovation, and a passion for advancing life science tool development. *This is a three-year Post Doc opportunity, which, in an ideal scenario, will conclude with the final six months of the project being conducted at AstraZeneca's headquarters in Sweden, contingent on the employee's ability to relocate. CORE DUTIES: 1. Designing and executing experiments to advance the assigned project and collaborating with team members to achieve project objectives. 2. Presenting findings in company and scientific meetings and contributing to the publication of results in peer-reviewed journals. 3. Embracing and being open to incorporating Promega’s 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work. 5. Understanding and complying with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business. KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. PhD. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, or related field with 0-2 years post-graduate experience. 2. Experience in protein and structure analysis. 3. Demonstrated ability to implement AI into experimental design and data analysis. 4. Ability to work in multidisciplinary team and effectively present data and findings to stakeholders. 5. Practical experience with mammalian cell culture, as well as protein expression, purification, and characterization. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Strong track record of peer-reviewed publications in biomolecular sciences. 2. Familiarity with RNA-guided genome editing approaches, such as CRISPR-Cas systems. 3. Experience with protein modeling or bioinformatics tools for enzyme design and analysis. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to work at a lab bench or tissue culture hood for an extended period of time. 2. Ability to wear standard lab protection equipment (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, etc.). 3. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications.
