Cimatron provides toolmakers with an integrated CAD/CAM solution for the design and manufacture of plastic injection molds and sheet metal stamping dies, as well as programming 2D to 5-Axis milling CNC machines. Created with the toolmaker in mind, it provides intelligent automation that complements the toolmaker’s skills to deliver the highest quality tools while compressing production time and cost.

We are looking for a detail oriented, motivated, and communicative individual who will be using the Cimatron software and our in-house tools to create and modify post processors, working with our customers and end users, to generate accurate g-code that will run on a variety of machines and CNC controls. Applicants should consider themselves a self-motivated CAD/CAM Post Processor Developer, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful implementation of the post processors they deliver. They will take the initiative to understand machine tool kinematics for CNC mills, routers, and Millturn; combining this knowledge with CNC control syntax to implement software solutions for our clients.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with customers and machine builders to develop post processors for Cimatron to program computer-controlled machine toolsRead and understand NC programming manuals, and translate that knowledge into working post processorsResearch and evaluate solutions to advanced manufacturing capabilities for our end usersShare your knowledge with others, by participating in team building or writing online documentationCreate sample Cimatron parts for our users or for testing purposes, that will increase the accuracy of your work and other post developers on the teamProvide customer support, and report bugs and improvement requests to the software department.Develop positive working relationship with all the stakeholders (customers and colleagues).Provide on-site support for our global partners, on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in CNC ManufacturingCAM programming: Experience with 2 to 5x milling machines. (Millturn and lathe is a plus)Excellent analytical, problem solving and solutioning skills - particularly complex technical and math problemsExperience with our software solutions preferred (Cimatron)Experience with various computer programming languages.Proficiency with MS OfficeAbility to listen and to understand our customers needs and issuesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective at building and fostering relationships with customers
