This role demonstrates technical mastery in skin biology and will build novel skin fundamental understanding to drive skin care bioactive identification, or collaborative bioactive formulations propositions as examples. The candidate will guide and influence technical project direction to tackle new-to-the world technical problems by demonstrating thorough wet lab skills, scientific method hypothesis generation, and strong foundational understanding developed through hands-on experimentation/application. We expect our science to be at peer reviewed publishable levels.

The candidate can expect to learn what types of science and technical story telling resonates with business leaders and the global skin care market. Candidates are required to have strong communications skills, be digital savvy, and drive technical thought leadership as they recommend how to innovation for the future of P&G Skin Care.

Job Qualifications

We are looking for a Postdoc scientist in Biology/Biochemistry or adjacent Life Sciences areas.

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

· Thorough foundation in experimental techniques, including detailed procedural execution of biological 2D cell based or 3D skin ex-vivo of explant experiments.

· Experience conducting high level wet-lab experiments, such as running ELISA, DNA/RNA isolation and enzyme assays

· Strong ownership & self-leadership skills to understand the business objectives and technical problem to be solved, collaborate with project team for test method development and technology development.

· Self-starter with ability to independently work project priorities, multi-task, and handle a wide variety of complex, non-routine & routine tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Position is in the office 5 days a week and located in Mason, Ohio.

· May occasionally need to join evening calls to collaborate with our Asia-based team

· Should be open to some limited travel (1-2X/year).

· Optional: familiarity with bioinformatics analysis & big data interpretation is preferred.

· Optional: ability to read/write Chinese would be preferred.
