Recruitment/Posting Title Postdoctoral Associate – Integrated Climate Risk Management in Urban Coasts Department SAS - Earth & Planetary Sciences Salary Commensurate With Experience Posting Summary The Rutgers University Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences invites applications for a postdoctoral associate, starting Fall with interests in climate risk, climate risk management, and co-production of research with stakeholder partners.

Starting Fall 2023, the candidate will join the Rutgers University Earth System Science & Policy Lab (earthscipol.net) and the Megalopolitan Coastal Transformation Hub (MACH, coastalhub.org), under the direction of Professor Robert Kopp. MACH, a transdisciplinary research network analyzing coastal climate risk management strategies, which will provide unique opportunities for research, education, outreach, decision support, and professional development.

Principal responsibilities include developing and applying integrated coupled natural-human system models to characterize adaptation challenges and support climate adaptation decision making, as well as working with climate engagement professionals to ensure stakeholder concerns and decision-maker needs are reflected in model development.
