Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the Neurosurgery department at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a graduate of a PhD program preferably with a background the study and treatment of brain disorders using molecular, developmental, and/or stem cell approaches. This individual will work under the supervision of Dr Sangmi Chung.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Participation in ongoing research protocols for the Neurosurgery department and publication purposes. Conducting rodent stereotaxic surgery and behavioral analysis. Managing lab activities and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Performing data analysis and contributing to manuscript writing. Culturing stem cells and maintaining cell lines. Utilizing confocal microscopy and various imaging techniques for research. Developing new research proposals under the mentorship of Sangmi Chung, Ph.D. Presenting research findings at meetings and conferences. Providing regular updates on research progress and manuscript status. Adhering to compliance standards as outlined in institutional policies. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
