Position Summary:
Under limited direction, the Postdoctoral Associate will perform duties as outlined by their supervisor. Being a training position, the Postdoctoral Associate will support the lab and experiments, while pursuing their own research.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate hypotheses, design experiments, interpret data, trouble shoot and optimize experiments Be able to analyze and interpret data from different sources and draw relevant conclusions Be able to present results at internal and external meetings Accurately document experiments Contribute to the writing of reports and manuscripts with increasing responsibility over time Work collaboratively across lab functions and train other junior lab staff as needed Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed
Minimum Qualifications
Education: PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or related sciences
Experience:
Expertise and a proven track record in the design, synthesis, purification, and characterization of targeted small molecules Proficiency with state-of-the-art organic synthesis technologies Expertise in the design, synthesis, and assessment of targeted degraders such as PROTACs is a plus

The work environment is in a standard biology and chemistry laboratory designed for conducting experiments, analyzing samples, and fostering scientific discovery. It is equipped with specialized workstations, including fume hoods for handling volatile chemicals, biosafety cabinets for sterile biological work, and benchtop areas for general procedures. Essential instruments such as centrifuges, microscopes, spectrophotometers, and analytical balances are readily available, along with chemical storage cabinets and refrigeration units for reagents and samples. The lab adheres to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like lab coats, gloves, and safety goggles, as well as emergency equipment such as eyewash stations and fire extinguishers. The atmosphere is typically collaborative, with researchers documenting findings meticulously and following standardized procedures to ensure reproducibility and accuracy.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to execute those physical activities required to perform the essential functions including, but not limited to, regular sitting and being mobile; continual communicating both in person and on the telephone; regular keyboarding; regular reading of both print and digital material; and all other activities required to perform essential functions.
Compensation:
The expected compensation for this position is $70,012.80/annuallyy commensurate with experience.
