Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Addiction Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry, within the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS). 

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Associate position will encompass work on various aspects of NIH funded research projects including study protocol formulation, data collection, intervention implementation and supervision, managing research staff, and grant writing. The Postdoctoral Associate will participate in the implementation of research studies relating to behavioral interventions for substance use disorders, including mindfulness-based treatments and motivational interviewing. These studies primarily focus on the treatment needs of individuals with chronic pain and opioid, tobacco, and other substance use disorders. Mentorship for developing research ideas, designs, and methods, conducting clinical trials, and writing grants will be provided. Clinical opportunities and supervision for clinical hours available.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists in ongoing endeavors as well as develop his/her own mentored research projects, publications, conference presentations, and grant applications. Will join existing programs of the Division of Addiction Psychiatry.  Contributes towards various aspects of research projects ranging from inception (e.g., study coordination, grants-writing, etc.) to manuscript publication.  Participates in the Rutgers community through team meetings and collaboration with Rutgers faculty, postdoctoral associates, and students. Fulfills all mandatory Compliance requirements (i.e. CITI, HIPAA and other required certifications).  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
